A good Botox consultation starts with a conversation about what you want to change and what you want to preserve. Before choosing a treatment in Dubai, ask how the proposed plan fits your expression, medical history and expectations.
Start with your goals
Describe the lines that concern you and whether they appear during expression or remain at rest. Botulinum toxin temporarily reduces activity in selected muscles; it does not replace lost facial volume. Your practitioner should explain whether treatment is appropriate or whether another approach—or no procedure—is a better choice.
Questions to take to your appointment
- Who will assess me and perform the injections, and what are their qualifications?
- Which product will be used, and why is it suitable for the proposed treatment?
- What improvement is realistic for my concerns?
- What are the alternatives, risks and total expected cost?
- What aftercare and follow-up are included?
Discuss your medical history openly
Tell the treating clinician about your medicines, supplements, allergies, previous cosmetic procedures and any medical conditions. Mention pregnancy or breastfeeding. Do not stop prescribed medicine on your own to prepare for an aesthetic procedure.
Know the possible effects and risks
Results develop over several days and are temporary. Bruising, tenderness and swelling can occur; unwanted muscle weakness or eyelid drooping are possible. Rare symptoms such as difficulty swallowing or breathing require urgent medical attention. Discuss your individual risks before giving consent.
Plan for follow-up, not just the appointment
Ask when your result should be assessed and who to contact if you have a concern. Avoid comparing treatment plans by a price or unit count alone: the assessment, product and areas treated may differ.
